Yet Another Snake Found in a Moscow Apartment

A Moscow man was shocked to find a python lounging in his bathtub this weekend, Gazeta.ru reported Sunday.

The snake, perhaps seeking refuge from the city heat, was found Saturday night in the apartment near the Pervomaiskaya metro station.

The man of the house was able to trap the snake in a cooking pot and wire it shut to prevent the animal from escaping before authorities arrived on the scene, the report said.

This is not the first snake-related incident to hit Moscow this week. Last Wednesday, local media reported that a meter-long snake had been discovered in the bed of an unsuspecting Muscovite in the Ostankino neighborhood.
