A factory worker from the Siberian city of Omsk has won more than $360,000 on the state lottery, becoming the city's second resident in six months to hit the jackpot.
The 58-year-old, identified only as Yevgeny L., won almost 18 million rubles ($363,000) after taking part in the state-run Goslotto's "Five in 36" game," the Omskinform news site reported Thursday.
When asked what he would do with his earnings, the newly minted ruble millionaire said: "I'm not going anywhere, I was born here and have spent my whole life here … I will see to it that my everyday worries are dealt with, and I will build a house [for myself]."
Six months ago, another Omsk resident — a builder identified only as Valery T. — won 184.5 million rubles ($3.7 million) playing the "Six in 45" game, in the largest win in the history of the Russian state lottery.
