Moscow’s annual hot water switch-off is set to hit the capital on May 10, local authorities have announced.

The dreaded annual rite of passage will see more than 33,000 apartment blocks lose their hot water for a ten-day stretch so that maintenance can take place.

Different neighborhoods will see their water turned off at different times between May and August 25, when the work is set to end.
