Death Toll in St. Petersburg Terror Attack Rises to 15

The death toll in the St. Petersburg metro attack has risen to 15 people.

Forty-year-old Sergei Postnov died of heart failure in a city hospital on Tuesday night, Russian tabloid Life News reported.

He had sustained serious injuries during the blast, including multiple shrapnel wounds, bone fractures and internal injuries.

Postnov's death brings the total number of victims to 15, including the bomber.

More than 50 people are still receiving treatment following the attack, with three victims still in a "serious condition," Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda reported.

Twenty-two-year-old Akbarzhon Dzhalilov, a Kyrgyz-born Russian citizen detonated a homemade bomb on the St. Petersburg metro system on Monday April 3. The Islamic State terrorist group have claimed responsibility for the attack.
