Central Stations on Moscow Metro's Dark Blue Line Closed Saturday

The Kievskaya metro station in Moscow.

Three central stations on the Moscow metro's Dark Blue Line — Smolenskaya, Arbatskaya and Ploshchad Revolyutsii — will be closed all day Saturday for repairs to the train tracks.

Trains will continue to run as usual to and from the next two stations on the line, Kurskaya and Kievskaya, the metro said on its website.

The closed stations will reopen around 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The same stations were previously closed for repair work one Saturday in November last year. The Dark Blue Line, officially known as the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, saw a deadly derailment last July between the Slavyansky Bulvar and Park Pobedy stations that killed 23 people and injured nearly 270 others.
