Muscovite Sues Over Mouse

A Moscow resident has filed a lawsuit against a snack producer, seeking 200,000 rubles ($6,500) in damages after finding a dead mouse in a bag of roasted nuts in January, RIA-Novosti reported Tuesday.

Pyotr Khokhlov said the Moscow-based producer, Moskovskaya Orekhovaya Kompania, refused to compensate him even after independent consumer rights experts confirmed that the dead rodent was placed into the bag during factory packaging. The company has not commented on the claim. No date has been set for the hearing.
