Russia vs. World at Stunt Show
Adrenaline junkies should head to the Tushino aerodrome this Saturday for the annual Prometheus International Festival of Stunt Art, where a team of Russian stuntmen will face off against a rest-of-the-world team in a death-defying stunt war.
The competition will feature motorcycle jumps, drag racing and blazing cars hurtling through the air as well as a tunnel of fire.
Organizers promise that a number of Guinness world records will be smashed, including one involving a 60-meter jump without a parachute.
Everything will be performed live, right down to the rock concert accompanying the electrifying stunts.
"This year we have an even bigger and better program and it will all be capped off in style with an impressive fire show," organizer Valeria Avdeyeva said.
There is even a chance for the most fearless of spectators to get involved in the first part of the festival with stuntman masterclasses and the opportunity to ride in a souped up 6-wheeled monster truck.
In the past there have been reports of stuntmen injuring themselves at the event, although that has not stopped the show.
At 4 p.m. on Sat. Tushino aerodrome, 88 Volokolamskoye Shosse. Metro Tushinskaya. www.stunt-war.ru. 8 (495) 781-0420. Tickets 1,000 rubles.
