Interior Ministry Choir Sings Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' (Video)
Often times when Muscovites are confronted by officers from the Interior Ministry they consider themselves to be anything but "lucky."
However, the police force's ensemble choir, perhaps building on the massive popularity of the Red Army choir's rendition of Adele's "Skyfall" earlier this year, has been rehearsing for their own performance of a more upbeat Western pop song. In a video on YouTube first published by RIA Novosti, the choir is seen singing Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," a funky collaboration with Nile Rodgers that soared to the top of the charts in the spring.
The French techno duo's song, which was unavoidably blasting from radios, cafes and random passersby's boomboxes this summer, appears to be part of the police ensemble's preparations for its Kremlin concert on Nov. 10.
