The Russian authorities have banned all flights by Egypt's national air carrier EgyptAir to Moscow from Nov. 14, the RIA Novosti news agency reported Friday, citing a Domodedovo Airport official.
The airport received a telegram from Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) banning all EgyptAir flights beginning from Nov. 14, the unidentified official told the news agency.
Rosaviatsia declined to comment when contacted by RIA Novosti.
President Vladimir Putin ordered a suspension of all Russian passenger flights to Egypt on Nov. 6 shortly after a Russian Airbus A321 crashed in Egypt's Sinai.
After the suspension was announced, EgyptAir became the only air carrier operating between the two countries, flying from Cairo to Moscow three times a week.
