Moscow Automobile Salon

Car enthusiasts in Moscow are in for a treat this week as the Moscow International Automobile Salon is taking place at the Crocus Expo Center until Sept. 7.



Fifty of the world's best-known car brands will take part in the show, and many will premiere the latest models from around the globe.



The show will hold an "Education Day" on Sept. 5, when schoolchildren can learn all about the auto industry, and a discussion will be held by industry experts on the topic of road safety. There will also be a "Sports Car of the Year" award ceremony to honor the best vehicles of the segment.



The show even has something to offer history buffs. There will be an exposition of military equipment from the Motors of War museum to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War II.



The event promises to be hugely popular, with organizers expecting more than a million people to attend, so all petrolheads should race down to the Crocus Expo Center to get their fix.
