Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold a live TV interview dedicated to the country's recent achievements and upcoming challenges on Dec. 7, two weeks before his mentor, President Vladimir Putin, will hold a news conference on similar topics.
Journalists from Channel One, NTV, the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, RenTV and Internet TV channel Dozhd will put questions to Medvedev during the show, Kommersant reported Tuesday.
The interview will be shown on the Rossia 1 and Rossia 24 state-run channels and titled "A Conversation With Medvedev," the report said.
According to Medvedev's spokeswoman, Natalya Timakova, the show is expected to last "at least an hour," during which time Medvedev will sum up this year's achievements and discuss the country's future prospects.
Medvedev held a similar show in April this year, shortly before he made way for Putin to reclaim the presidency for a third time.
A day earlier, the Kremlin announced that Putin would give his annual presidential news conference on Dec. 20.
