The Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Atomic Inspection said Monday that it planned unscheduled checks of oil refineries in the Saratov and Penza regions.
The inspectors will check compliance with license terms, safety and payments for environmental studies at 11 refiners, starting Tuesday, the watchdog said. Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin in February ordered greater control over oil refining and shipments in Russia.
