Aeroflot carried 2.75 million passengers in the first two months of 2013, which is 18.6 percent more than during the same period last year, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported Monday.
The total distance traveled by Aeroflot's passengers increased by 20.1 percent and reached 8.292 billion passenger-kilometers.
Along with its subsidiaries, flew 3.904 million passengers in January-February, having improved the previous year's result by 16 percent.
Orenburg Airlines increased its passenger traffic by 57.3 percent to 358,000 people in the period.
Vladivostok Avia carried 152,400 passengers during the same period, a 3.1-percent increase year-on-year.
At the same time, another carrier, Rossiya, flew 451,500 passengers, 4.6 percent less than in 2012.
In 2012 Aeroflot increased its passenger traffic by 24.6 percent to 17.656 million passengers.
All Russian airlines together carried 10.051 million passengers in January-February, a 16.3 rise compared with the same period last year.
