In Photos: The Changing Face of Wartime Ukraine
On Feb. 24 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. In the three months that followed, the country’s towns, cities and landscapes have been transformed by shelling, violence and civil defenses. Meanwhile, the lives of ordinary Ukrainians have also been changed beyond recognition, with millions of refugees forced to leave their homes, or live under the constant threat of bombardment.
