Since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, on the surface, everyday life in Moscow has remained fairly unchanged.

But amid the usual urban clamor, many have noticed the growing presence of Soviet-era symbols and icons throughout the city, often alongside motifs designed to drum up pro-war sentiment.
