In Photos: Memorial Appears at Israeli Embassy in Moscow After Hamas Attack
In the days since Hamas militants in Gaza launched a shock offensive on Israel, Muscovites have visited the Israeli Embassy in central Moscow to lay flowers in memory of the victims.
Israel is home to a sizable Russian-speaking population, many of whom immigrated from the Soviet Union or post-Soviet states.
Over 1,100 people in both Israel and Gaza have been killed since Hamas launched its attack on Saturday morning.
Russia has advised its citizens against traveling to Israel but has not yet announced plans to evacuate citizens from the country.
