Russia's Annual Navy Day Parade, in Photos
Russia marked its annual Navy Day holiday Sunday with processions of warships in major port cities across the country, from the Navy's main headquarters in St. Petersburg to the Far East port city of Vladivostok.
The Russian Navy has played a key role in Moscow's 17-month invasion by pummelling the Western-backed country with ship- and submarine-launched cruise missiles, among other operations.
But it has also taken some embarrassing losses, most notably with the loss of the Moskva battleship in the Black Sea in April 2022, which Ukraine claimed to have sunk.
