Russia's Gazprom gas giant has claimed it will return the highest dividends of all Russian public companies, the RBC news website reported Thursday.
The company will pay dividends for 2015 in the amount of 7.89 rubles ($0.1) per share, which in total will comprise 187 billion rubles ($2.9 million), Gazprom's head Alexei Miller said, RBC reported.
Miller also added that Gazprom was able to maintain the funding necessary for major global investment projects last year.
In addition to that, last year the company increased its share in European gas markets to a record 31 percent,compared to 30.2 percent in 2014.
