he Russian Football Union spent a total of 290 million rubles ($3.9 million) on the national football team in 2015, the Vedomosti business daily reported Friday, citing report by the organization.
These expenses accounted for more than 50 percent of the total spending of the Football Union on Russia's national football teams, including the national youth football team and others.
In 2015, Russia's national football team changed its coach. The country terminated a contract with Italian trainer Fabio Capello and appointed CSKA Moscow's Leonid Slutsky.
Under the management of the new coach, the team will participate in UEFA Euro 2016 in France.
