PNK to Build Facility for First Bekasovo Warehouse Resident

Real estate developer PNK Group has been selected to construct 22,000 square meters of warehouse space for DMD-Cargo at a new facility 49 kilometers south of Moscow, according to a company statement on Monday.

The building will be located at PNK-Bekasovo, a new class A+ warehouse complex in the Moscow region. Construction works will begin this quarter with delivery of the facility planned for 2016.

"Excellent reputation, reliability, strong expertise and know-how were the main criteria we took into consideration when choosing a construction partner for our second phase," said Alexei Permyakov, executive director of DMD-Cargo.

"We found that PNK Group puts all those strong points together."

The build-to-suit contract was signed at the end of December 2013, with Knight Frank serving as the consultant of the transaction.

DMD-Cargo is focused on cargo storage and handling, international and domestic freight services, including care and custody, as well as a full range of services for retail and online retail.

PNK-Bekasovo will be located in Moscow region, along Kievskoye Shosse. The warehouse complex will have a total area of 160,000 square meters. The facility will take advantage of its proximity to the highway and to a new rail hub nearby.

A Message from The Moscow Times:

Dear readers,

We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.

Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.

By supporting The Moscow Times, you're defending open, independent journalism in the face of repression. Thank you for standing with us.
