Aeroexpress Trains to Sheremetyevo Disrupted in April

Passengers traveling to Sheremetyevo Airport from Belorussky Station should bear in mind that the Aeroexpress schedule will be disrupted for the rest of the month by ongoing repair works.

The airport's press service said in a statement that repair works between April 15 and 20, April 22 and 27 and on April 29 will mean that trains to Sheremetyevo from the city center will be cancelled at 10:30 p.m., 11.30 p.m. and 00:30 a.m.

But despite the reduced service, airport authorities on Monday advised Muscovites to use the Aeroexpress in order to alleviate traffic congestion on routes leading to the airport.

The airport's Twitter account said: "Due to congestion on the overpass leading to the International Highway, we recommend using our Aeroexpress service."

Last week, Aeroexpress canceled all its morning trips from Moscow’s Paveletsky Station to Domodedovo Airport and back for for two days after a truck rammed into a railroad bridge, damaging train tracks.

A Message from The Moscow Times:

Dear readers,

We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.

Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.

By supporting The Moscow Times, you're defending open, independent journalism in the face of repression. Thank you for standing with us.
