Roads in and outside the city center will be closed for various periods from Sunday to Wednesday due to a rehearsal of the Victory Day parade, the parade itself, and the presidential inauguration of Vladimir Putin.
Due to rehearsal for the Victory Day parade Sunday and the parade itself Wednesday, the following roads will be closed on those days beginning at 6 a.m.: Khodynskoye Polye, Proyektiruyemy Proyezd 5506, Proyektiruyemy Proyezd 5509, Leningradsky Prospekt, Ulitsa 1-aya Tverskaya-Yamskaya, Ulitsa Tverskaya, Manezh Square, Ulitsa Mokhovaya, Ulitsa Okhotny Ryad, Vasilyevsky Spusk, Moskrovetskaya Naberezhnaya, Kremlyovskaya Naberezhnaya, Borovitskaya Ploshchad, Ulitsa Vozdvizhenka, Ulitsa Novy Arbat, Novinsky Bulvar, Ulitsa Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, Ulitsa Bolshaya Sadovaya, Triumfalnaya Ploshchad, Kitaigorodsksy Proyezd, Ilinsky Spusk, Ulitsa Ilinka, Ulitsa Varvarka, Prechistenskaya Naberezhnaya, Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, Bolshoi Ustinsky Bridge, Ulitsa Moskvoretskaya, Bolotnaya Naberezhnaya, Bolotnaya Ulitsa, Podgorskaya Naberezhnaya, Bernikovskaya Naberezhnaya, Ustinskaya Naberezhnaya, Ustinsky Proyezd, Kotelnicheskaya Naberezhnaya, Raushskaya Naberezhnaya, and Ulitsa Yauzskaya.
In connection with an opposition march scheduled for Sunday afternoon and evening, the following roads will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. until the event concludes: Kaluzhskaya Ploshchad, Ulitsa Bolshaya Yakimanka, Ulitsa Bolshaya Polyanka, Ulitsa Serafimovicha, Ulitsa Bolotnaya, Maly Kamenny Bridge, Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and Bolotnaya Ploshchad. The march is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and the rally is set to conclude at 7:30 p.m.
From midnight Sunday until Wednesday, the Lefortovsky tunnel, on the Third Ring Road under the Yauza River, will be closed for repairs.
Traffic police have no information regarding road closings Monday in connection with the presidential inauguration, said an officer reached on the GIBDD information line. He said the information is most likely secret.
The presumed route of Putin's motorcade is along Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Novy Arbat and Ulitsa Znamenka to the Kremlin, where he is expected to arrive at noon. Public transportation routes on those streets will be adjusted on Monday beginning at 9 a.m.
