Three people have been killed in two separate small plane crashes, Interfax reported.
A single-propeller Yak-52 trainer plane crashed within 500 meters of a runaway after taking off Friday from an airstrip near the Moscow region village of Shuvoye, located southeast of the capital.
Flight instructor Alexander Vasilyev, 57, and student pilot Sergei Beskapavainy, 20, were killed.
On Sunday, one person was killed and another badly injured in the crash of an An-2 biplane in the Krasnodar region, Interfax said, without providing further details about the accident. Investigators have been sent to the crash site.
