LUKoil hired former RusHydro chief Vasily Zubakin, who was fired after an accident last year at the power company’s largest plant killed 75 people, Kommersant reported Tuesday.
Zubakin will become vice president in charge of LUKoil’s power business starting Oct. 1, the newspaper reported, citing people familiar with the appointment.
