After more than a week of unseasonably warm weather in Moscow, forecasters have predicted a return to cooler temperatures, with rain and lightning also expected over the coming days.
According to the regional weather bureau, the weather will remain cloudy in the first half of the week with showers, gusty winds and thunder, particularly on Tuesday, Interfax reported.
Temperatures in the city are set to hover about 24 degrees Celsius, forecasters were quoted as saying.
Last week's heat wave in the capital saw the temperature record twice broken, with the thermometer touching 27.9 C on Wednesday — the hottest June 4 for 117 years — and 31.6 C on Thursday.
