Remains of Russian Pilot Shot Down in Syria Returned to Russia

The remains of Russian pilot Oleg Peshkov, killed over the Syrian-Turkish border last week were returned to Russia on Nov. 30.
The pilot was one of two Russian servicemen who ejected themselves from their Su-24 fighter jet after they were hit by a Turkish F-16 on Nov. 24. Peshkov was killed by gunfire from Turkmen rebels on the ground.
Konstantin Murakhtin, the surviving navigator of the Su-24 warplane, says he plans to return to Syria to avenge the death of his comrade.
