Muscovites Celebrate Books and More at the Non-Fiction Book Fair
The oddly named 17th International Fair for High-Quality Fiction and Non-Fiction is a haven for book lovers, who save up their book money and spend it all at the Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val once a year.
In addition to more books at wholesale prices than you can imagine, the fair has antique books, retro music albums, a huge selection of cookbooks, plus a floor full of children's books for all ages.
People come to buy holiday presents, pick up a used book they've been looking for, make sure their children have something good to read, and listen to one of hundreds of talks, lectures and meetings with authors.
This year Spanish literature is the guest of honor, with special stands and events to delight lovers of Latin American and Spanish-language fiction.
