Meet the Animals at Moscow Zoo

Moscow Zoo, founded in 1864, is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and is located at the heart of the Russian capital.



Since 1996, the zoo has been running an adoption program whereby visitors can choose to pay for one of the zoo's 8,000 animals' food and care for a year.



The zoo also provides educational and volunteering opportunities, and even runs a pony club for children.
