Faces From the Streets of St. Petersburg

Sveta studied psychology but works as a private English teacher for school-aged children. She spends her free time helping her boyfriend, a street musician, collect money from pedestrians.
Photographer Todd Prince was born in Brooklyn, New York but later moved to Russia to work as a journalist and then a banker.
He has pursued his interest in photography since 2009 with most of his work focusing on everyday life in Russia.
The Moscow Times has gathered together a collection of Todd's work from his St. Petersburg Street Portraits project, for which he photographed ordinary people that he met on the city's streets.

"I am a pensioner just having some fun," says this Siberian-born street musician, aged 63. He said he had various jobs including serving on a submarine, mining coal and searching for gold in Yakutia.

Sergei has spent his 24 years equally between three regions of Russia: Zabaikal, Kaliningrad and Leningrad. Sergei dances in the metro to earn money while finishing his economics degree. He dreams of becoming an MC.

'I was born in a closed town on Kamchatka that you can't see on a map,' said Maxim, 27, who was raised in a military family. Maxim plays the bass for a group called Octopus Maiden.
