Fun, friendly, delicious

There are now two branches of this fun, relaxed spot for authentic Chinese food, the original at 126 Profsoyuznaya Ulitsa, Bldg. 3 and a pared-down, self-service place at 7 Tverskaya Ulitsa. Both have the air of a Chinese shopping street, with colorful adverts, neon signs and newspaper lampshades. The menus are modest, with under 40 items including sides, mains and the star of the show — dumplings. Other offerings include the Chinese-style burger. Fun and delicious.

All chicken, all ways

The second restaurant opened in Moscow by Argentinian-born Andreas Quetglas by Patriarch's Ponds has a warm and intimate atmosphere created by wooden tables, wooden floors, dimmed lights, exposed brick walls and baskets filled with hay and eggs. This feels just right for the menu, which features chicken prepared in every possible way: Tandoori Chicken, chicken pelmeni, or Vietnamese soup with chicken meatballs. Come hungry; portions are generous.

A Message from The Moscow Times:

Dear readers,

We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.

Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.

By supporting The Moscow Times, you're defending open, independent journalism in the face of repression. Thank you for standing with us.
