Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has said he wants to join the army and go to war against Russia's enemies, the RSN radio station reported Tuesday.

“Does Kadyrov want to stay on [as leader of Chechnya]? No, I don't want to. Times are different — economically and socially. There are more professional people in our team,” Kadyrov said in an interview with the station.

Kadyrov also said that if he leaves his post, he will join the army and go to war.

?€?Recently I've been dreaming about heading army divisions to fight against Russia's enemies, wherever they are.?€?

Kadyrov's presidential term expires on March 5, 2016.

In the interview he said that he had not made up his mind on whether he will run for another term.
